Bridging the Gap Scholarship, sponsored by four law students, offers a $1,000 scholarship to four pre-law students intending to apply to law school for the 2019 admissions cycle. Eligible students must submit their applications through the form below by the due date. Late applications will not be considered.
Finalists will be contacted for an interview by June 7th.
Instructions: Please answer at least one of the following essay prompts. The essay must be typed in 12pt font, Times New Roman, double spaced with 1-inch margins. Do not put your name on any part of your essay. Only include your telephone number (the one listed in the information you provided) at the top right corner in the heading of each page. Number each page in the center of the bottom header. Maximum 1,200 words.
- Some future law students have a background, identity or interest that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, please share your story
- The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
- Reflect on a time when you’ve questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
